چکیده

With 1D-nutation NMR for a spin I = 5/2 system, the relative line intensities of the central and the innerand outer-satellite transitions are calculated as functions of quadrupolar coupling ωQ and rf pulse strength ωrf. Experimentally measured line intensities including both central and satellites are used to extract the values of ωQ and ωrf from nonlinear least-squares fits. The method is illustrated in α-Al2O3 crystals (ruby and corundum) with the single-crystal Al nutation NMR spectra. As a result, the new feature that the rf pulse strength shows reduced effect on the satellite transition lines according to the quadrupolar coupling is discussed by using a fictitious spin-1/2 operator.

Synthesis of zeolite NaA nano-crystalls; effect of synthesis parameters on crystallinity and crystal size

Abstract In this work hydrothermal synthesis of zeolite NaA crystals with a composition of Al2O3:aSiO2:bNa2O:cH2O was investigated. Effects of SiO2/Al2O3, Na2O/Al2O3 and H2O/Al2O3 ratios and crystallization temperature and time were studied on crystallinity and crystal size of zeolite NaA crystals. It was tried to understand the interactions between these parameters. The crystal species o...

Selective and Non-selective Nmr Excitation of Quadrupolar Nuclei in the Solid State

Spectral intensities of quadrupolar nuclei and the radiofrequency (rf) pulse lengths for selective and non-selective excitation of any single-quantum NMR transition in the solid state are calculated. When nuclei of the same element occupy sites which experience different electric field gradients, the spectra are quantitatively reliable only when the length of the rf pulse is much smaller than n...

Theoretical study of homonuclear J coupling between quadrupolar spins: single-crystal, DOR, and J-resolved NMR.

The theory describing homonuclear indirect nuclear spin-spin coupling (J) interactions between pairs of quadrupolar nuclei is outlined and supported by numerical calculations. The expected first-order multiplets for pairs of magnetically equivalent (A2), chemically equivalent (AA'), and non-equivalent (AX) quadrupolar nuclei are given. The various spectral changeovers from one first-order multi...

2D Off-Resonance Nutation NQR Spectroscopy of Spin 3/2 Nuclei*

The effects of off-resonance irradiation in nutation NQR experiments are demonstrated both experimentally and theoretically. The theoretical description of the off-resonance effects in 2D nutation NQR spectroscopy is given, and general exact formulas for the asymmetry parameter are obtained. It is shown that the outcome of the off-resonance nutation experiments depends on the data acquisition p...

Scattering Study of Conductive-Dielectric Nano/Micro-Grained Single Crystals Based on Poly(ethylene glycol), Poly(3-hexyl thiophene) and Polyaniline

Two types of rod-coil block copolymers including poly(3-hexylthiophene)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) (P3HT-b-PEG) and PEG-block-polyaniline (PANI) were synthesized using Grignard metathesis polymerization, Suzuki coupling, and interfacial polymerization. Afterward, two types of single crystals were grown by self-seeding methodology to investigate the coily and rod blocks in grafted brushes and o...
